About

What This Is

Two southern degenerates chasing every NFL rumor, camp report and viral thread worth chasing. Chief thinks it's a league winner. Gordy thinks it's a trap. One of them is usually right.

PigSkinFreaks is a fantasy football rumor mill. We chase the same thing you do every morning: camp reports, beat-writer hints, depth chart movement, contract standoffs, and whatever the subreddits decided to lose their minds about while you were asleep.

The difference is that two people write it, they are both from the South, they are both drinking, and they agree on almost nothing. Chief is the accelerator. Gordy is the parking brake. Chief tells you what could happen if everything goes right. Gordy explains what will probably happen because God has a sense of humor.

The Rules

  • A rumor gets labeled a rumor. If we cannot point at where something came from, we say that out loud instead of dressing it up as reporting.
  • The joke never costs you the take. The writing is satire. The analysis underneath it is not. Snap counts, route participation, target quality and contract structure do the actual work.
  • Both sides run. Most stories carry the other guy’s rebuttal at the bottom. If only one of them is confident, that is usually a warning.
  • We tell you when we were wrong. Chief issues corrections with the same confidence he issued the original take. Gordy files his quietly and enjoys them more.

The Fine Print

PigSkinFreaks is an independent satire and opinion site. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the National Football League or any of its clubs. Player and team names are used descriptively to discuss the sport. Chief and Gordy are characters. Nothing here is betting advice, and none of it should be mistaken for a financial plan.
